Would love to find some pen pals/online friendships
Watch this postHi, I'm Joanne and this is my first post. I'm 68, married, retired, dog mom to 2 sweet dogs, and would love to chat with people from anywhere. I live in the southeastern US. With the pandemic in the forefront right now, I'm immuno-compromised and spend a great deal of time at home. Not homebound, but just cautious about limiting where I go and how often. Since my husband is younger than I am and still working, it gets very lonely and sometimes too quiet. I miss good conversation and laughs. Hope everyone is having a great holiday season, and I'm looking forward to chatting and getting to know you.

This is my second post on this site. I am 69, divorced. I still work but work from home. I have lived in TX since 2001. I started working at home with the start of Covid. I have worked from home since then. I stay home most of the time. I get out a little to run errands. I do not have any pets currently but I love dogs. I have had a beagle, dachshund, and a pekingnese. I am I slightly disabled and do not think I could walk a dog very well. I h.ave two daughters and 5 grand children. I look forward to hearing from you
I'm Janis, and I just joined Silversurfers a few minutes ago - this is my first post! 🙂 I'm also in the southeastern U.S. (Georgia), and I'm 67, retired, married but separated (he lives in NC), and, like you, I miss good conversation and laughs, especially since I just moved to a new apartment the day before Christmas Eve, and I haven't really made friends yet. It definitely gets lonely and too quiet - I know exactly what you mean. My son, daughter-in-law and granddaughter (3 yrs. old) live about 30 - 40 minutes away, but they've got very hectic lives, so I don't get to see them that much. I'd love a pen pal! If you're interested, let me know...just bear with me, because being brand-new to this, I'm not sure how to find my "new messages", etc., yet..lol....

I'm Diane , 56 years young and live in the UK. I'm divorced but due to having a joint tenancy still have to house share with the ex, I have 3 adult children and a grandson all living with me as well . Yes my house can be chaotic at times but actually I'm lonely amid it all and would love to chat with people. I work a split shift (morning shift and evening shift ) which makes it difficult to meet people and although I have worked throughout the Covid pandemic as a Key worker I think Covid as made me lose the ability to socialise so have just become a new member so I can converse, debate and make some friends.

I'm a Cleaning Manager in education, so worked throughout lockdown as a Keyworker and although have good work mates , I find at our age everyone is busy with their own lives so don't get to socialise outside the workplace.
