Looking for a chat buddy

Well, retired (engineer) and a little beyond official retirement age. Trying to learn piano/keyboard but early days but serious as I think it keeps my motor skills alert and hopefully builds some new memory synapses! Have an allotment and like walking with U3A groups. Anyone interested in chatting via this forum feel free to respond. Cheers.

Hello happyhacker, good luck with learning the piano/keyboard. I've been busy sorting out my garden this year, it'll never be bonnie but it's improved on last year and I'm enjoying the flowers in the tubs I planted. I like to walk as well but at present I'm not in a group. I joined the ramblers a couple of years ago and enjoyed it until my work pattern changed leaving me unable to meet them. I'm now happily retired but haven't got around to rejoining I just walk on my own when I feel like it.

Interested to hear from anyone who joined U3A and also enjoys walking...especially with their dog. (mine is my best friend now). More information on what is available via U3A of interest as find myself widowed and would like to make new friends. Would like to learn to play a Ukelele and know of anyone who is older who has been successful in that! Enjoy reading when I have the time ..the garden keeps me well occupied at present! Travelled throughout France (sometimes with caravan) during last 10 years...but now would like to see more of the UK. Enjoy socialising - but a rarity these days. Need a new beginning...and like to chat with interesting people! Drop me a line if you have time.

Bought a harmonica on amazon today. Trying to make some new neural connections myself. I'm interested in
Blues in the Key of G. That's the extent of my musical experience. I have a great appreciation for nature and have been working on a gratitude log for the past few months.
