looking for a cruise companion

I am seeking a female to share a cabin with me on a Cruise to avoid having to pay the single supplement. I am a 69-year-old widow am young at heart physically fit non-smoker enjoy a drink. My budget would be moderate having been a past Cruiser. The cabin would be two single beds. It's all about saving paying the single supplement - please converse if you might be interested

Hi Jo,

Are you still looking for a cruise companion as my mum needs one too, she is 75 years old and still fit enough to enjoy herself. She lives in the U.K.

Hello fellow cruisers. I have a friend who wants to join us on a Celebrity Silhouette cruise out of Ft. Lauderdale December 22nd - Jan 3rd. She is looking for a roommate in Aqua class, cost per person is around $3800. Aqua class cabins allow exclusive access to the Blu restaurant. Please let me know if you know of anyone interested. She is willing to room with either a female or male. She is in her mid 60s and full of life. She scuba dives. She is from Carolinia Beach NC. Tks!

Hi! Since it appears that nothing has been prearranged, I’m interested. Maybe we can come to a conclusion that is agreeable to both of us.

Hi, My name is Orene, Im a 78 year old lady, I have a husband who hates travel. I usually do a cruise once or twice a year. I live in Nevada, none smoking, light drinker, easy going. I do have a cruise booked February of 2020, 7 days Mexican Riviera leaving San Diego. This is the time of year the huge whales are in the sea of Cortez to give birth. I’m hoping to not only find a companion for this cruise but for future travel as well. Hope to hear from you.

Hello,
I am writing to address your concerns about the single supplement on cruise ships. I found a great solo travel option through Norwegian Cruise Lines. In June 2017, I took a cruise to Bermuda as a
solo, and booked a solo suite with NO PENALTY. And, this cruise line has a structured
program for solo cruisers. Once I was aboard ship, I quickly realized how many others were also
cruising solo. We had access to an exclusive lounge, with a solo travel cruise director at our service.
He'd pair us up to the various restaurants and entertainment venues as we wanted...and yet, if you
wanted to be by yourself (for instance, when went ashore to shop, I wanted "me" time), there was
no pressure to pair or group with other solos. It was wonderful. I liked it so much that I have booked
another cruise for December of 2018, leaving from New York, for a Bahamas and Florida cruise aboard the same cruise ship. Norwegian Cruise lines has a great website (NCL.com). It explains
everything. On my cruise a lady traveled all the way from Poland to New York to catch the
cruise ship. She was also a solo traveler. We ended up enjoying several activities together as
part of the solo cruiser itinerary, and we also met up at Bermuda's famed Horseshoe Bay and enjoyed a day of "beach bumming"..! It was a wonderful experience. So, I offer this as a suggestion for traveling solo aboard a cruise ship. You can do it without a single supplement penalty and, if you go with Norwegian Cruise Lines, I believe 7 of their ships have the solo studio cabins which are lovely, very comfortable. And you are housed in the same corridor with all the other solo travelers..but you still have access to the entire ship.
Hope this helps...and, if you decide you may like to go to the Bahamas and Florida in Dec. of 2018,
book with Norwegian Cruise Lines ship "Breakaway" departing out of New York Dec. 1st. returning on the 8th. I'm booked for those dates, and barring unforeseen emergencies (heaven forbid!), I plan to be aboard!

Thank-you for your post, Harrietgf. I shall have a look at the NCL website today. It really annoys me when I see how much the single supplement is for practically every holiday that is sold, whether it is a luxury cruise or a coach tour, and yet there are obviously so many single travellers who like their own space and bathroom!
