Was married for 34 years when I decided I needed to change my life, so decided to leave my husband, pack my bags and return to the UK.(We moved to Australia in 1989). Don't regret the decision although didn't expect to be living a single life at this time of life. I live on the South Coast with my little rescue dog Jess (pedigree unknown, the best dog ever).
Doggie walking means a day doesn't pass that I don't have a conversation with at least 1 other dog walker. Made good friends this way, I'm very appreciative of the support and help they've given whilst I've been ill and confined indoors.
Hope to chat to others on here. Happy New Year one and all, 3 hours to the end of 2016 Hope 2017 is good for everyone.
I love cooking, reading, knitting, photography, and spending time with my grandchildren. I have a sassy little Min Pin named Mika who is the boss at my house, or so she thinks.
The local university has a Lifelong Learning Program that offers a variety of classes for seniors in the spring and fall which I have enjoyed. I would love to find people just to chat with, nothing too deep, just friendly conversation.
I am 81 but have a young outlook on life. Oh dear I hope my age hasn't put you off. Looking forward to hearing from you.
My daughter (divorced) lives with me. Her excuse is that she's looking after me, although I do most of the cooking. I do appreciate her company though.
Mike
I have just joined and new to this. I live in North London.
