MrsH I was hoping there was someone with this complaint, out there, who is on medication which eases it or reverses it.
I have no signs of bad circulation, ie, whitening of the fingers etc, and I'm not diabetic.
There are times when it flares up, more than others, leaving me to think there may be something which perpetuates it, but this is just a thought !
Denia hospital, here in Spain, have put me though rigorous tests which are on going but have not come up with anything as yet
Thanks

Hi geoff340, Peripheral nerves are those which are outside of the Central nervous system, and Neuropathy is numbness, loss of feeling or some nerve damage causing the nerves to die. This means you have a loss of sensation/feeling in the outer nervous system. Usually it happens with diabetics if they don't stick to the Rules, as it is when the blood stops going to their hands or mostly, their legs & feet. It can result in gangrene when this happens & is not treated promptly. If you have Peripheral Neuropathy it is likely the blood is not reaching your extremities because of nerve damage/loss of sensation. I might not have explained this quite so well as a doctor, but I hope you get the gist of it!
