Recovering one or more pensions

Looking at next year for state pension. I've a work pension to add, though not much, so will have to work on, for a bit. However, a delayed spring clean has unearthed documents from over forty years ago. I seem to have superannuation from a couple of small jobs, one with the Civil Service.
I am about to chase these up. I am wondering about the likely addition- assuming they find it! I have around four years of superannuated contributions.
I have to stop thinking about this, until I know more.. I wondered if anyone else had any similar experiences. All thoughts gratefully received!

If you don't have a great deal of money in your fund the company might give you a lump sum instead of a monthly pension. Lloyds Bank did this to me - I had only contributed for about 18 months in the early 1970s and I think they gave me a paltry sum of less than £100.
