Seeking conversation

I am a 65-year-old man who is realizing that after 30 years as a contributing professional - even partial retirement took away a large part of my connections being single things from casual intimacy going out to dinner chatting online has been altered.

I am realizing I need this connection I miss more of the female connection- not necessarily sexually but the intimacy of listening, talking laughing.

This is my first try at seeking this missing piece. I have my family grandkids business

Thanks for giving my post a look!!

I so know what your talking about , you can have all the family and friends in the world but there is not that same connection like someone of the opposite sex just being close to talking to and leaning on. That's where I'm at right now .And your right at our age it's not about the sex it's the connection with someone to go through life with . I would love to chat with you and get to know you more

I have just started being single again I understand the need to talk to a person who actually wants to listen to me. I retired 2 years ago and would like to travel but a little scared to do that alone But if you would like to talk I’m here

Hi, hope you are keeping well. I am finding my way around this site as I am new.
I find that life can change on a daily basis and the connections you have when working are shut down because those people you used to connect with are still busy working and so for you a new life has to unfold. You need to have new and different adventures now but this will not come to you. You need to join as many clubs or activities as you can. i.e. dancing, tennis, squash, walking etc, not easy and sometimes it's hard to make the effort but friendships do not just appear. Starting here is a brilliant way to connect. I am enjoying writing this post now as it is making me feel connected to someone new. I have lots of interests and am very busy but still feel I am missing out on life at times. Hoe to chat again soon. Take care.

this is my first time too and yes most seniors seem to be busier after retirement with activities but sometimes at nite? it gets quiet and lonely for just good conversation- finding it is hard to find online now but - you have to give it a try - good luck

I am in the same place so I understand completely. I am a 63 year old female living alone in a retirement apartment with my cat. I don't have children. I was a Computer Programmer and now I paint ceramics and crochet and I don't drive. I get lonely. I just want someone to talk to. Thank you for listening.

I am from Eastern Canada
I am a 70 year old lady
No pets, I love music, I have a senior ladies choir
I started a few organizations, I am politically involved, i lead a full life
I am preparing to move to a new seniors home, that is quite exciting..
I am blessed that my sister recently moved her with her husband, I have an older brother who is not well
I work hard to be positive and upbeat, I don’t care to be around people who complain and are negative, life is just too short
I would love to chat with someone with similar interests
I hope you all have a wonderful day

Hello,
How are you? I am new to this site, but saw your lovely post and thought I would say hello and hope you are having a good day. I am really only looking for a pen pal, not really a romantic relationship.

I am 55 and live in California.

Hello oh, I just joined a few minutes ago. Not sure how long I'll Stick Around. Depends on what it's like here. I'm pretty much looking for the same thing as you just somebody to shoot the breeze with not looking for a relationship. But also not looking for mundane or boring conversation. Lively upbeat and interesting topics that's what I like to discuss hope to hear from you

If you aren't very particular about missing only female company, we can chat. For me a companion is a companion, forget the gender.
