Anyone interested in seeing the National Parks and National Monuments in the United States? Yeah, we've got that virus thing here so I'm not interested in cities for awhile. The caravan (we call them travel trailers) is 35' long and has 2 private bedrooms, each with its own bathroom. Big screen TV, micro, oven etc. I'll be doing this for the next year or two so there are lots of travel segments to choose from. Not looking for a travel buddy for the entire time. Heck, I can't even stand myself for that long. Male or female (I'm straight) but absolutely no romantic liaison, just buds.

You'll notice there's no time mentioned. That's because everyone else in the U.S. had the same idea on avoiding the CV and bought up all the caravans, so I don't know when mine will be available!

See my bio for more info.

Any females travelling to Scotland over the next month or so?
I'm an author, film-maker, nature lover and hill-walker planning a trip, but friends too lazy!
Nice walks, scenery, chat and food in Scotland, bliss...
Anyone?

Hi Everyone,
I live in the midlands and gave enjoyed many holidays with friends plus a few solo holidays. My friends are completely put off travelling now but I am still eager. It is though important to meet up with peope you get on with, if you are with someone and you're not on the same wavelength it can be awful. I remember the only time that happened to me with someone I thought knew well, she was a nightmare in most ways,

Hi, out there because of the lockdown and the need to be wary of travelling at the moment I thought I would finally banish my fears and look for female travel companions. Knowing I would have plenty of time to acustom myself to the reality I have denied myself for so long.
So slowly slowly anyone, Prefer slimish women with a sense of humour and smiling face.
Obviously meeting in person in public before any travel in the future.

Hi folks, I am a keen traveler but if you are single you have no other choice as to travel solo. The problem Is once you get used to it and you keep on traveling solo. Now I am getting fed up of it traveling solo, and naturally like a companion but it is easy said and done. How are you going to find somebody. I find it expensive to travel solo when it comes to searching for accommodation. Not many hotels offer you single rooms. I find it sometimes better to book a double room and sleep in a big bed not the ideal thing but saves money. I find it difficult when you go for a meal especially in the evenings and it is so boring to eat alone. I am bit of the romantic side. Some hotels do have a lovely arranging on a beach with candles and stuff like that then you sit alone. I do not enjoy but you do it as no other choice. Years of solo traveling is getting on my nerves. If anybody is interested please get in touch but doubt it. I live in hope so why not try. If not I keep traveling alone because I am used to it

Hi Charles, I live in Manchester. Yes, I have heard of Hythe, never been there though!!

I have seen you post in another part of this site where you say you were born in Sri Lanka.. I have been there!!! Back in 1999 I visited there with my daughter, it's a lovely place!

It's difficult to go anywhere at the moment with this covid-19 lockdown. Hopefully next year things will be some where near back to normal! LOL

Hi Babs
Thanks for the message.
I have been to Manchester few times. Last time I was there an I was In Old Trafford to watch Genesis reunion tour.
I am happy to hear that you were in Sri Lanka. I go there almost every year. For you the country is changing very fast and maybe you will not recognize it. The changes are mainly in big Towns, such as Colombo and Galle. After 25 years civil war and the places you could visit is possible to visit. No more military check points so they are positive things that I like. Tradition and culture is changing because of the young generation. Tourism was booming before COVID-19 unfortunately it halted the boom completely now. It is very sad because people was making there living out of it. I was promoting or attempting to promote tourism to SL. when COVID-19 arrived. If you are interested please visit my website. http://www.journaltotravel.com .
I am at the moment in Central America exactly in Panama. I been here for the last 2 years traveling. Now I got stuck here in Panama. I was scheduled to return in end of February 2020, but I missed my flight then COVID 19 hit the world. Panama was very quick to react, they imposed a whole day curfew to the whole country to protect us. The police control and restriction to go out only to do grocery shopping. Example me I have a 2 hour window to do my shopping in a week I get 4 hours, that is 2 different days. Then they shut the Airport end of February and no commercial flights in and out of Panama since end of Feb. I think they would like to reopen on 26 this month but I doubt if they open I must get out quick before they shut again. The positive aspect is that COVID 19 did not spread here. I live in remote area and I have no idea about COVID and what is happening in the world until I read or see news.
Nice to hear from you and I hope you keep in touch.
Regards
Charles

I have a post on Silversurfers Dating looking for a lady (men want to be captain) to join me on my canal barge Fidutia in France. Just search Barge Fidutia. I am Aussiebargeman. Quote "Spend the lockdown cruising French canals. Bring your pets"
I find it hard to believe that I have no takers as so many have that on their bucket list. I am doing a trip from near Dijon to near Strasbourg but I could be talked into going anywhere.

Hi. First time I’ve done this so please allow a little leeway for mistakes. My name is Wayne and I’m 68 yrs young. I own a 32ft 5th wheel and a specialized Ford F450 to pull it. I’m currently wintering in Powell River, BC, Canada and will hit the road on 1 May 2020 and return, to winterize, around Oct 2020.

I’m looking for a travel companion. No smoking or vaping, no drugs, unless it’s medical reasons, limited alcohol. I’ll cover food and transportation costs. This year I’ll travel throughout British Columbia, Canada. Sightseeing and fishing are on my bucket list, 5th wheel designed for off grid living. Short trip to Edmonton, Alberta to watch my oldest grandson get married, you’re invited. Recently widowed and I’m looking for someone to chat with and share trip experiences.

Response from foxney made on 16th May 2020 13:12:37
Hello. I imagine your exciting road trip has been put on hold for obvious reasons. If you are in a position to ressurect it at any point, I would be happy to discuss accompanying you. I'm 62, fit and well, well-travelled, easy to get on with, a very good, usually 'dry', sense of humour, and I enjoy swapping stories and yarns. I agree with your opinions on smoking, etc.. I've been wanting to visit Canada and your schedule will be a great way to see some of it. I can be open-ended and very flexible on travel dates; I'll probably visit some parts of Canada either before or after them as I want to see as much of it as possible in one trip.
