Windows 10
Watch this postI use a PC which was on Windows 7 and a laptop which is still on Windows 8. I have a Windows phone and I use an I Pad when I am away from home. I have just downloaded Windows 10 onto the PC. I am aware that Microsoft are testing W10 by letting the public download it. I understand the upgrades will be coming very regularly. It took hours for it to download, fortunately I clicked the download button just before I went to the cinema. I was just finishing when I got back. Its crashed my sound system, and it now does not work. I understand this is a known problem and a fix is coming. Alternatively I can re down load a new driver. Probably not as easy as it sounds. My photos are not lost but now they are 3 clicks away. I think this is an operator problem and I probably need to spend a minute sorting this out. My PC is much much faster. The Windows 7 system regularly froze my PC. That problems gone away. Anyone else using W10. ??

Just saying
Your best option is to use Iobit Driver Booster https://www.iobit.com/en/driver-booster.php# it's a simple one-click operation to find and update all of your drivers including missing ones.
When you install it make sure you read every page otherwise you will find it installs other software that it has (which to be fair are all pretty good).
Make sure you untick any "offers".
Windows 10 start menu is simple to use unlike Windows 8 which was a pain and I used Stardock Start 8 to sort that out.
After downloading Windows 10 make sure your anti-virus is switched off before you install it.
I have had no problems with 10 on my desktop or laptop. I like it.
My advice when downloading windows 10 is to allow yourself plenty of time. The program itself will take a least two hours but then it will download all your other devices which in my case took another two hours. The new Microsoft edge browser is fast and very clear to read.
The disappointing side to Microsoft is than they stopped the money program and I am sure a lot of you used this software. The new edition of Web User gives you guidance to run Microsoft money in windows 10,it looks a bit complicated to switch. I use a software called Moneyline and this program is good but you have to pay. I am very impressed with the new windows 10 and use BT plus security with McAfee and a Anti-Malware software.
