Much panic about the threats by the EU of no entry into the single market unless you agree to unlimited entry to the UK of migrants.
Uk is a small exporter to the EU compared to the exports from the EU to the UK.
As the UK is the biggest market in the EU for German cars and Spain exports the largest percentage of their salad market to the UK, presumably when the chips are down at the negotiating table, frau Merkel would not wish to harm their valuable asset, by us not allowing German goods into the UK ??

How can you be so sure? Have you taken a DNA test? Can you trace your family tree back to the Iron Age?

Well it will certainly be different! If your name is anything to go by, I would keep a low profile, being different is not a safe thing to be since the result!

It seems France and Holland are now also talking about a referendum. I think that a lot of people who voted didn't have a clear vision of how it will be if we stay in or go out and I'm sure a lot didn't vote at all because of this. At the end of the day could you trust the politicians on either side. The EU leaders are unhappy and if they don't make an example of the UK with the exit deal, then they stand to loose their well paid jobs if the EU disintegrates. It's a pity they didn't recognise sooner that they needed to review how the EU was running and make the necessary changes to ensure countries were proud to be a member.
It's worrying who will be at the helm of UK Government. Even if there was another general election,I don't see any great leaders emerging from any party

The thing is politicians are only humans like the rest of us. Its strange how they are all demonised. maybe if they told it straight it would be different

Politicians, with few exceptions, are self serving, grasping liars and few of them have ever done an honourable day's work in their lives, they leave university and embark on a political career because it's very lucrative. And, for some, if they make it to the EU, they are sorted financially for life. Don't feel sorry for them, they deserve to be demonised.

Tony Blair for one should be in prison now for War Crimes !
Response from celtwitch Original Poster made on 25th Jun 2016 15:53:52
What 'war crimes' would that be then, exactly?

The Iraqis wanted rid of a brutal, murderous dictator, we did that for them.

Yes I know,It was still illegal though, and now replaced by ISIS so it went well then !
Response from celtwitch Original Poster made on 26th Jun 2016 11:09:03
It was the responsibility of the Iraqis to run their own affairs after Hussein was toppled but, they chose anarchy, which IS has exploited. You can't blame Bush/Blair for that.
Response from MorrisandDoris made on 26th Jun 2016 12:46:48
Most do though !!

My oldest granddaughters name is Isis and she is getting tired of being blamed for everything. She's even been banned from entering some places when asked her name!

It seems today that a lot of m-ps who dished the doom and gloom on an exit are back tracking there is no doom and gloom just we have to make it work.I suppose they would have had a cushy life still if we had stayed in and the Scottish leader is picking her words now after the brush of from Belgium.Has anyone raised the ageist remarks ? that's discrimination.

Response from MorrisandDoris made on 25th Jun 2016 14:04:23

Response from JAMES58 made on 25th Jun 2016 16:05:48
I,m from Scotland and we have Nicola who will just keep having as many referendums as she wants until she gets the results she wants,so why cant everyone else do the same.
Response from KEITH_WL made on 25th Jun 2016 22:24:27
MorrisAndDoris has put the objection to these repeats very well. I think we might all put the lottery point in argument from time to time. Mockery can be potent and these repeats do deserve to be mocked.

It is a first step, and a significant one, but there is still a way to go.
