Hello. Think we are both looking for some chat to brighten our days . I am in the US but would love to chat.
Response from MsJones made on 22nd Mar 2021 11:18:10
Hello PaulR95,

Are you a piper? It's a great photo you have there.

I guess many of us have learned how adaptable we are in this past year. Many of us have learned new ways to connect. I have missed gathering with other people to listen to live musicians. Traditional music, rock, ballads, jazz - any kind of music. Hopefully it won't be too many months into the future that we can hear and cheer for singers and musicians and smile with the people around us.

Hi Angie hope you are doing ok. Just wanted to introduce myself, I'm Caroline and I live in Essex. I had forgotten all about this website until today and thought it would be nice to connect with new people so hope to speak to you again soon.
Response from MsJones made on 16th Feb 2021 12:00:22
Hello Angie and Caroline,

It is snowy and cold here in the U.S. as I sit here drinking my morning coffee. I will start work in a an hour, working from home due to the pandemic. I am grateful to have a job.
I don't know how to reply to both of you at once.
Would love to connect and here how you are doing these days. I check the site most days lately. Take good care of yourselves.
Response from Ollie3 made on 1st Mar 2021 21:18:32 > @MsJones
We have been enjoying very mild weather, did have some snow but it didn't amount to much and it didn't last long. Which part of the U.S are you from? Know what you mean about being grateful to have a job, I've been going to work throughout as I'm in healthcare but I've felt it's my bit of normality.
Response from Samella made on 7th Mar 2021 10:16:58 > @Ollie3
Good Morning to you Both I am new on here so don't really know what I am doing.
I am in Essex and would love to chat.
Response from Ollie3 made on 8th Mar 2021 20:37:10 > @Samella
Hi there! its always a nice surprise when you see someone has replied.
Response from MsJones made on 8th Mar 2021 23:16:57 > @Ollie3
I live and work in Virginia. I do think my job continuing is a blessing financially and also mentally. I keep to similar habits and routines as I would have going into the office. I miss my co workers though. It does seem that we will be able to gather in groups in a few months. I hope you take good care of yourself Ollie3.

Response from Ollie3 made on 1st Mar 2021 21:23:55
Hi Wol54 I've been a member for a while & I'm still struggling to find my way around..... it's all very much trial and error! I'm happy to chat as I enjoy meeting new people.
Response from Wol54 made on 2nd Mar 2021 09:11:27 > @Ollie3
Thanks for that! I honestly thought it was just me. I'm still finding it strange, just browsing and potentially commenting on something I see that looks interesting.....I'm a well brought up girl and it feels a bit like either reading over someone's shoulder or just plain interrupting!.Also, some of the exchanges I've read have reminded me why I gave up on Facebook a while ago, sometimes aggressive, angry or even toxic. I like the idea of happy chatting.......

Hi there,,,I'm new to the site and so far found it quite dull...unless the fault lies with me...anyway I'd love to chat.

Hi
I will be so glad when we are virus free, I am struggling with not being able to just nip to a coffee shop or for a browse around the shops. I feel like I am losing my independence, does that sound stupid. How is everyone else coping.

Hi catlover,I haven't been on this site for a very long time so please forgive me if I'm commenting in the wrong place,I'm a bit rusty at it.
I read on your first comment you have a kitten and a budgie, that's lovely.
We had a kitten a few weeks ago he's now 15 weeks old and due his second jab tomorrow.
We have 3 cats and 2 strays which I look after.
I also love gardening and visiting garden centres.
I've missed visiting flower shows this year due to Covid.
I live in Wes Midlands not far away from Cannock.
Hope to hear from you , have a good day from Ann

I feel your pain. I live in a small but normally lively little town. Now everything is shut down. I've gained weight since the lockdown. Got on YouTube and found some good yoga videos. It helps my mental outlook but hasn't really done much for my waist and hips. Input is still more than output. Eating healthier weighs heavy on my mind but I'm not there yet - a work in progress. Looking for a new craft to learn. Have a suggestion? I'd love to hear it.
Response from GingerA made on 12th Jan 2021 00:26:39
Oh my goodness, is this a U.K. chat site? Can someone from the U.S. join in? I do not care to talk about politics. Oh lord, what a mess we have here! At any rate, I'd love to hear about all things U.K.. I know there is sanity elsewhere in the world and would love to hear about it.
Response from Ariadne made on 13th Jan 2021 10:47:46 > @GingerA
Hello Ginger ,I'm sure Sally (Owner of this site ) will tell you that it's not wall to wall Brits on here. . You are here ,So ,lets talk .conversation ,,meaning ,whatever comes into your head ,,write it down. I am a horse lover ,before anything else, closely followed by dogs ,Humans ,,,,,,somewhere on the end ,unless they have a sense of humour. The only way to get your hips under control is to try on the clothes that used to fit you ,that should work for starters.
Next ,,,is one you won't like , don't buy lots of food ,,and don't keep opening the fridge door .
clear out your cupboards of clothes you never wear, bag 'em up for the charity shop. ,all closed here at the moment , the weather is awful ,rain, tomorrow is supposedly going to snow ,,,,not too happy about that .my best pal MY CAR ,has to go for it;s M.O.T don't know if this is an English thing. , do you have to do it ? Fingers XXXX'd I live near to Chatsworth Park
Why don't you Google it ? I love to drive through ,and see the deer.
Response from Rayot made on 13th Jan 2021 15:13:18 > @FELINEFRIEND
My cat is 20 weeks old and she has just been sterilised. The vet gave her the necessary jab, but didn`t mention a second jab.
Response from GingerA made on 15th Jan 2021 23:17:47 > @Ariadne
I did clean out the closet. I eat when I'm bored so I'm now looking at new hobbies and one that caught my eye is crafting scrap journals or junk journals. It looks like fun. I live in Tucumcari, New Mexico, and love this little town. The apartment where I live is on the outskirt of town so we get a lot of wild life passing through, mostly wild turkeys and coyotes. I love to hear the coyotes sing late at night. We have mountain lions (also called cougars) and brown bears. We have a wide assortment of owls and hawks. The one thing we really have to watch for are rattlesnakes. We have so many during the late spring and summer that the high school sports teams are called 'Tucumcari Rattlers'. In the fall we catch the migration of tarantulas. Scorpions are always an issue. I'm not too fond of spring, that's when tornados are likely to occur. Not sure what an MOT is but here in the states you have to take your car in for regular check ups and oil changes or it voids your warranty if it's a new car.

it seems to me even 25 years ago all the chat rooms were for dating purposes only i could not get a decent conversation going about anything other than hooking up with opposite gender and most of the conversation was about sex that is not what i want to talk about all the time once in awhile is ok but i would rather talk about sports politics and other peoples philosophy of life
