Because I have been stopped from playing golf, because of you know what, I have plenty of time on my hands . I enjoy gardening and have an allotment.
I enjoy reading also, (150+ books on my iPad), mostly thrillers, but I am now on my second attempt at reading Bleake House by Charles Dickens. I find it hard going, such long sentences. Will I finish it ???.
We are just finishing another week of glorious sunshine here, but I am sure you are used to that in Cyprus. I have Travelled many parts of the world but not your island.
Keep up the chatting.
I'm getting through books like there's no tomorrow, but I love reading, so that's OK... I've just had to order a load more...
I'm very limited in what I can do... I don't live in Cyprus so I'm guessing you have replied to the wrong person... Its easy done and I'm still trying to find my way around here
Take care
I’m Bruce from Upstate New York. Happily married also with grandchildren keeping us hopping. Newly retired. Wife, younger, still working. Both of us in the Healthcare field. Reading a lot. Mostly Nordic thrillers. Also UK and surrounding countries detective stories. Also cycling and trying to stay healthy with this ‘stay at home protocol. Had snow last weekend. 70 degrees today. Love to hear from others outside of USA. So much to see and learn.
We are now into our 8th week of lock down, but things are easing, I am going to play golf Thursday, Yippee. My wife and I have been walking twice a week and working on our allotment, (vegetable garden) It gets us outside. I managed to finish reading Bleak House by Charles Dickens and now reading a Jeffery Archer thriller. I can recommend his books to you.
I have to call on Amazon for more books, I like to read historical mystery books, learned about the Great London Fire and Plague of the 1660s, it was worse than Covid19, (Caught it on Sunday-Dead on Monday). I'll leave you with that thought. Nice to hear from you.
Things are lifting over here in upstate New York. Getting out and about a nice change. Have not read Jeffrey archer books yet, as I have been reading Icelandic mysteries as of late. I have also enjoyed Peter May and his black house trilogy based in Scotland. We have never been to Europe and hope to do so in the near future. From reading so many books from Norway, Iceland, Scotland and other interesting areas, it is hard to pin down exactly where to go first New England is where we spend a lot of our time, especially the Maine coast and up into nova Scotia. Stay well and enjoy books
Take care
