Watch this postHi, I am new to Silversurfers and to be honest not sure what I expect to get from the site. I'd be interested to know how other people use the site and what you gain from it. I'm a 57 year old single female, still working full time as PA to a group of directors. I have one son still living at home and a great network of friends but always like to get to know new and different people. Look forward to hearing from you

Sorry to hear you now find yourself alone, it must be very difficult to adjust. I have lived alone with my dog for the past 18 years but from my own choice, so rather different circumstances. I hope it becomes easier for you as time passes.
Like you I do some voluntary work and it's certainly true that you meets lots of different people and some even become good friends.

I am new (as of 5 minutes) and am also seeking best ways to use this site. I am 67, working FT as director of a nonprofit agency..ready to retire but seeking a connection with the world and other people. I have no children, but have 4 animals and interest in nature, travel and comparative religions. Hope to meet some of you!
