Our wedding day!

Many years ago, when my wife and I decided to marry, and so then in those days we went to church and had the marriage bans read three times, followed by visiting the vicar in the church, to learn the wedding procedure, where to stand and what the sequence of events were, so that on the day itself the wedding would run as planned and practised. Well many of you will have done this I'm sure, and knows what was involved, then comes the big day itself, all hoping that the summery weather would be kind to us, luckily enough it was fine. Then because of a sudden change of plans the regular vicar was called away and another vicar brought out of retirement was to carry out the service, well the church we went to also had another six weddings also planned for that day, and because of the elderly vicar who sadly was going deaf meant that we had to repeat many of the words over, again and in-between this the vicar asked us to speak up louder, (yes I'm sure your keeping up with me,) Well by now we were just short of almost shouting we eventually managed to complete the ceremony, exhausted, well the overlapping times of each wedding was running late, due to the vicar making many couple repeat after him, and so when new brides were turning up to be married the brides that were out side were also getting confused as to which car was for which bride, taking them away to their receptions, the scene was very much like a (carry on getting trying to get married film, ) almost a comedy but eventually the day ended up with all the newly wedded couples finally getting it sorted.

So my question to you is have you experienced this, or have seen or heard of other people having a similar wedding day, situation, at least it is some thing my wife and I often laugh over, a real carry on, with real actors too?
