Watch this postI have been pen palling for a while now does anyone else do this and is there somewhere on the site for this? It would be nice to write to people on here if they were interested.

how apropos!
I am just over 60 years old, love music & studied piano for a number of years. Miss playing the piano. Divorced & like to travel, but not during times like these. Hopefully this will soon pass. Do not know much about astronomy but do find it fascinating.

Not the easiest of tasks caring for someone with dementia, it’s a 24/7 responsibility so I am sure you get very little time to yourself.
My husband who, is now in from leukaemia,, is not the greatest conversationalist so I now find myself with time to spare. We’ve had a tough 3/4 years, with treatments, hospitalisation and a compromised immune system which meant little or no socialising with family or friends and COVID has only exacerbated my feelings of loneliness and isolation.
My saving grace are my two grown up children and three grandchildren who keep me sane and focused.

I am a 61 year old lady, living in Staffordshire with my kitten and my budgie, it can be a bit challenging with these two at times. I enjoy genealogy, gardening, walking and spending time with my children and Grandson. I am just looking to have a nice chat with someone and hopefully to join conversations.

I have been retired for a while now and recently returned from living in France, after a divorce, to live in the UK. This is the first time in my life that I have sought a pen-pal, I might have done so sooner but I seem to have had a full enough life with my wife, and multiple activities, including choir, running a book club, attending a French conversation group, hiking and travelling, A few years ago I was also going into the mountains regularly, until an accident cut down activities in this area.
I have 3 children in England, with whom I can share time, but with whom contact is restricted at the moment because of Covid 19. I am also in touch with my ex-wife on a regular basis. And I am in regular touch with friends in the UK and France.
I am looking to have a connection to anyone out there, wherever they may be in the world - male or female, who spends much of their time on their own and who would like to share their experiences and interests with me. I am not looking for romance, but for a meaningful relationship.

Well, there's a lot more you have to know about me. I'm also charming, fun to be with, open-minded and a genuine person. I do agree that life is a wonderful to live. I'm a hardworking woman and I give importance to the people around me especially my family that's why I strive hard to earn something like in my daily needs and for my goals and dreams in life. I'm adventurous; I like the beauty of nature and exploring God's wonderful creation. I love going to the beach too. How about you? I would love to have contact with genuine pen pals, not dates et., etc. I live in NW London suburb and have a number of interests, including books, classical music, french, current events and History of Everyday Things. I am female and of advanced years.
I am an older, retired widow in the USA, in West Michigan. specifically. I am interested in having pen pals on the internet or even replying on here and from different parts of the world. I am interested in what life is like for you, what you do, if you are employed. I also read a lot... just about anything. Fantasy, classics, murder mysteries, biographies and esp. have an interest in the history of England. I also enjoy music, the range can depend on the day, from old country, jazz, rock and roll, other genres also. I was raised primarily on classical music and what training I had as a child in piano was classical training. I also went through a period of training for gospel music, however, that did not last long as my teacher moved.
I have always enjoyed traveling, however, it is pretty much vicariously through others rather than my actual traveling. Altho' Michigan is a pretty and diverse state here, my daughter, who lives with me, and I do try to wander about when we have the time. She is a teacher of enrichment classes at one of the charter schools here. Right now, she is teaching gardening, conventional as well as hydroponic, and art.
I am an animal lover. I have always had dogs my entire life. At this point, I do senior rescues of dogs primarily...and because of my age, stick with the smaller breeds, altho' my first love is the larger breeds. My body just doesn't want to cooperate with the care of the larger dogs. We also have a cat that I would classify as a senior, he is getting up there in years also.
I have 2 children, a son and a daughter, 5 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren with 2 more foster girls hopefully coming into the family soon as daughters.
I worked many years with the public and the court system here in Family Court. I also did various clerical jobs, secretarial positions and even worked in a sheet metal shop. (think forming the metal parts of desks, file cabinets and such.) My last employment was for a company that makes the vanes for jet airplane engines. Very interesting and challenging also. Needless to say, I liked the variety over my working years rather than just one job forever.... I would have gone crazy.... Well, hope to hear from you... and that we can connect on a regular basis. I am keen on letter-writing - proper pen, paper, stamps - that sort of thing. I'm quite happily married but I don't see a lot of point in writing to my wife as we are retired and spend all day in each other's company.
I used to write a lot of letter 30 or more years ago, when email and instant electronic messages weren't A Thing. Now I've come to realise that a hand-written letter on good paper written with a quality fountain pen is a work of art and something to treasure. It's also a god way to use up some lockdown time!
I've started a series of correspondences with various people - daughter in Melbourne, sister of a friend (Toronto) - anyone who is interested and will reply.
