Hi there, I haven't posted much on Silversurfers, but one thing I think comes up quite often is that people would like to engage more with others - not in a category like gardening or recipes (both are good but not everyone is interested) I think we could do with a category for people who want to maybe know more about meeting new mates/friends in the real world using this site. Some people want to write letters and receive them, other want to get out there and just meet in a group, others are happy with emails.


There are probably lots of organisations in different areas so if individuals could let others know whether it is just a weekly tea and cake afternoon or a monthly meeting of the U3A (worldwide social organisation which I like so look it up in your area). Or maybe just ask online for willing friends in your area to meet up.
