Hi it would be good to find a travel companion as I'm hoping to visit a couple of European cities.
I'm a female based in East Anglia, in my 60's and looking for female companions only - thanks.
Response from Beauty made on 14th Sep 2021 19:31:34
Hi DM always interested in travelling....I'm further south in Surrey, not too far from H'row/Gtwick, so good for airports.
Response from Daisymaisy made on 15th Sep 2021 23:04:06 > @Beauty
Hi Beauty, thanks for your reply. I'm quite close to Stanstead, so not sure it that would complicate things, seeing as you're further south?
I'm hoping to take a few European breaks - cities and the coast too!
I enjoy walking, gardening, crafts, days out, music and love animals.
Response from Beauty made on 16th Sep 2021 09:20:16 > @Daisymaisy
Hi DM So Stanstead would be your preferred departure point and that journey isn't good for me. Hope you manage to make more contacts closer to you & and thanks for taking the time to reply. All the best
Response from Daisymaisy made on 17th Sep 2021 23:07:41 > @Beauty
Hi Beauty, thanks for your reply. I kind of thought we were a bit too far apart, but I do hope you also find someone a bit closer to you, and that you get to enjoy lots more holidays. Best wishes DM

Hello, my name is Ken I am a 78 year old widower and I would describe myself as fit, not so tall, friendly, sociable, tidy and happy, I love music, dinning, driving, adventure and life.

I am looking for a cruise/travel buddy to cabin share with, I have only been on one cruise so far (Caribbean) but really enjoyed it. I would love to do more,

Would also be interested on medium or long term tripsI for instance I would also like to drive around Europe, USA and Canada.

I live in north Hampshire and would love to meet so we can see if we fit and discuss where and when to go.

Ken

Hi hope this. message finds you well?
I’ve not been on this site for a long time, but feel now we hopefully have a light at the end of the tunnel to be able to meet people and to travel again, I would see if there’s anyone like minded to me, that would like to chat, meet up and possibly travel as companions once we can again.
Abroad or this country is appealing to me, I think there are some lovely beauty places within our own country.
Anyway if you feel you’d like to reply, it would be nice to hear from you.
Lynn

Looking for like minded female travel buddy / buddies. I’m based in Kent. In my sixties , young at heart and interested in scenic, wildlife , beach, culture holidays with a bit of fun thrown in. Love to swim. Not into endless days round a pool but a mix of relax and explore is great. I’m easy going . Interested in a lot of destinations and open to suggestions. Thanks for reading.
Response from LisaO5 made on 22nd Jul 2021 03:35:25
I too love to take the scenic route. I’m a free lance wild life photographer. I live in the US. I enjoy traveling backroads. You never know what you might find.
I’m an avid birder so I spend a lot of time outdoors.
If we were closer, we could be great travel buddies I think.
Just wanted to say hello.

Hiya love. I don't know if this would be of any interest to you, but I am looking at going to the Caribbean for a holiday in January and hopefully watch a couple of Englands T20 cricket matches. The venues haven't been announced yet but they are usually Antigua/Barbados/St Lucia. The game only lasts for about 3 or 4 hours so obviously plenty of time for other activities.

I love to travel and embrace other cultures. Probably not the best time at the moment due to the ever-changing traffic light scenarios but once it gets a bit more stable, I'll be straining at the leash. Anyway, once it happens, it would be nice to have a travel buddy.

I'm looking for a travel companion. I'm married, but my wife is a good bit younger, still working full time, and not able to join me. She has no problem whatsoever with me traveling without her, given the circumstances. I'm 72, going on 73, live in NC, and am a retired professional. I'm very fit (run 5-1/2 miles every other day) and love exploring new places. I enjoy hiking, wouldn't be opposed to camping, or other similar activities. On my future bucket list is a well priced transatlantic cruise from Southhampton, UK to NJ in October 2022. I also would like to get back over to Amsterdam and spend perhaps a month or so in a rented apartment. I've utilized La Compaigne as my airline, which flies out of Newark, and offers business class only seats to Paris (Orly). I've been to 27 countries thus far, so I am a fairly well traveled individual. Incidentally, I'm politically more progressive, so I'd like someone who is compatible in that respect.

Hello everyone, I've just joined and this is by way of an introduction and maybe discussion kick-off. I'm 69 next year and I'm about to retire from full time work later this year. I like food - cooking and eating - and drink. Gentle exercise is fine although a long walk needs to have some refreshment stops en route. I enjoy a good book and thanks to kindle have read a lot without the weight of the books to worry about. I'm an armchair sports fan - aren't most of us at the moment - but soccer and F1 are my favourites. I've recently taken up photography as a hobby in an effort to force myself to get more and walk off some weight.
I never went to university but I'm hoping to take a gap year, mainly away from the UK in 2022, Covid-19 restrictions permitting. Thanks to Brexit, strolling around the Schengen countries of the EU non-stop is no longer an option as the 90 day tourist rule applies accumulatively to those countries. My thinking is to do up to 90 days in Schengen countries, skip back to UK for a week or so and then 90 days non-Schengen countries, back to UK and repeat. Initially my thoughts were to do this alone, but if the opportunity arose to travel with a companion then I think that would be better. After all, with seven years of living on my own under my belt the conversations at home can get boring.

2021 should be ok. Same as most countries avoid large crowds and large apartments.
As for costs. I only reserve apartments with free cancellation and no credit card needed. So reseve now and only pay 1 week before arrival. So if no flights no cost lost.

Flights. Won't book till international flights back on. Looks like end of August.
Philippines still have curfue 10pm lockdown same for Thailand. Most airlines offer
2 year free ticket exchange. But won't book flight till say January as not sure when I will go February or March. I have a mate who lives in Philippines and done friends in Cambodia an Pattaya
Response from DavidV3 made on 18th Aug 2020 11:51:13 > @Charlesb
Looks like Thailand could reopen in September. But I have booked my flight with Qatar from Manchester this time as cheaper by a £100 and does not have a long stop over in Dubai. Qatar offer a 2 year extension on tickets free of costs if virus stops flights. Rooms booked with free cancellation with no credit card used.

Prices will rockit for next year as airline need to coop losses
