Looking to chat with like minded members
Watch this postI'm now 60 years young, divorced a while ago and moved out and lived with my youngest child.
Have moved again and have to work long hours to support myself and my home. Now living alone, although I have friends at work that is where it ends, they are either married or have partners and spend their time with them or their family.
I have very little family left and don't see or hear from any. My best friend is my dog and love to walk him on my days off. It would be nice to have a friend that you can share things with, or just chat. Lost my friends from divorce and moving, life can be very lonely at times.
Joined the surfers to see if I can make any friends this way.

Almost 69, divorced and like others here lost my social circle completely as a result of the breakup.
I'm lucky enough to have some family about but they have their own lives and I don't think it is right for me to depend upon them for friendship ...great company as they are.
I have a great little dog but Ihtink he gets bored with my conversation sometimes 🙂
I'm exploring local options but it would be lovely to find some like minds here!
I understand how you feel. I am 57 and recently separated but just as I thought life might be getting easier , have had to remortgage and so the prospect of retirement looks like a dream. Although I do have good family I don’t feel I can pick up the phone or contact them every time I feel low or lonely.
I am looking for friends to chat with and try and move on with life
I have family but very rare see them, daughter just moved an hours drive away but she has moved on now, which is good with a new partner, so it's work to talk to people or sit alone. Have a lot of hobbies but the human voice is better to hear.
Read your post and can somewhat relate to you. I'm 53, single and have no kids. Altho I'm not really alone, I do wonder how things will be like for me in the near future. I'm a bit worried TBH.
Reaching out to others is a good thing. Someone will come in time.
Like you, I struggle a bit with married friends esp those with nasty husbands.
Whatever you do, don't feel sorry for yourself, regretting the things you did or didnt do. I know it's easier said than done.

Just joined today I am 61 yrs young recently split from my partner of 10 yrs I had moved in with my partner so lost touch with old friends.
I am lucky I see a lot of my children but looking to connect with people my own age
