I'm also looking for a general or group travel companion, happy with cruises or other types of travel.. I'm married but my husband no longer wishes to travel but I still have a bucket list to fill.. To pay a single supliment is often the same as paying for another person to travel, which is so annoying. I am planning a last minute holiday at the end of March 2017- it would be great to have some company, I would want to meet face to face before Id agree to travel with anyone though.
I am a senior and a retired teacher and OK with whatever degree of friendliness you wish.

I would be interested in a cruise. Did one 3 years ago and loved it
I have looked at all inclusive holidays and looked at cruises. I like the idea of holidaying in a warm/hot country.
Here's the rub, I don't want to be on my own, in a hotel room or cabin, wondering why I took the holiday. I need to share, enjoy a bit of life with someone, too many times I have verged on the point of booking a resort only to back out at the last minute.
I am not living on my own, but may as well be. I have a full time job that's fairly well paid and live north of Bristol (20 mins) and have a car.
As I said at the beginning. My first post and I don't know what to expect.

have never cruised alone but recently lost my traveling companion, would you be interested in sharing a cabin
I have just joined this site and although I see your post was last April I thought I would reply anyway! I have cruised 5 times on my own through circumstances where I did not have a choice unfortunately. I love cruising and although there are always quite a few solo cruisers I found them, albeit nice people, got into a bit of a click together. I like to meet different people and found freedom dining was for me where you can sit on any table and meet different and some very interesting people every night. People are usually very friendly and I love to travel to different countries, that's why cruising is so good! and of course all your meals are prepared, fantastic meals, and your cabin is cleaned every day. As a solo traveller though I found I opt for the ships tours rather than go on my own but that is only for safety reasons, if I travelled with someone else I would probably make my own way.
