Should the provision of Changing Places in public be toilets mandatory?
Watch this postWhat are peoples thoughts on ensuring there is equality of access to disabled toilets for all by making the provision of Changing Places in public toilets mandatory?
At present any older child, teenager or adult who have special needs have no place available in public toilets to change their nappy. Baby changing facilities are only suitable for babies or very young children. This means that should an older person with special needs need a nappy change they either have to remain in a soiled nappy until they get home or be put on the floor of the public toilet for the change. This is both undignified and of high risk for the both the person requiring changing and the carer kneeling on the floor to change the nappy. Do you feel such facilities should be provided?
