WALKING!!!

I can't believe the cycling is specifically on the subject list but not walking!? I am sure there are a multitude of fellow walkers out there? I am ne here and located in South Somerset. I mostly walk the SW coast path around my f/t job and would love to hear of more of you who are doing the same anywhere?

Hallo, I like to walk and usually go out with the U3A or the Ramblers which of course have stopped.
I now do the same routes on my own as I don't have the know how or confidence to read maps or work out routes.
But I'm grateful to be able to get out.

My favourite walking country is the coastal path of Pembrokeshire, Wales, the scenery is stunning and in Spring and early summer the cliffs and banks are ablaze with wild flowers, bluebells orchids and thrift of all shades of pink natural gardens. At low tide the sands, coves and beaches are a joy to visit. We have walked nearly all of it in stages many times over the years. It never disappoints.

Helo Yogafan, I love walking too. I live in Essex and belong to a walking group. We try to do riverside walks when weather allows. I've been to Cornwall several times and I'm always in awe of the beauty of the places.

Hi, I live on the south coast of Cornwall near Mevagissey. Usually out walking 3/4 times a week, mostly on the coast path. Happy to meet up with anyone in the area for a walk, coffee.

My partner and I walk every day, usually 3 - 5 miles. We are lucky to live in a village in Kent and there are many beautiful walks in easy reach. We also do Geo-Caching to make the walks more interesting and fun. After all the rain we have had of late some footpaths are very muddy and some impassable, so we keep to the lanes. They are so busy now that everyone is out doing their daily exercise. A lot of people do not know the Highway Code when walking, to walk on the right facing the oncoming traffic, so much safer, and it saves all the dances you have to do when people are walking on the incorrect side of the road! So I hope everyone is enjoying our countryside and getting out in the fresh air each day Keep walking!!

Hi everyone. I love walking and it's my preferred way of keeping fit. I find though that I need something to motivate me especially in the cold damp weather so I have registered with Walk 1000 miles in 2021. It averages out at walking just under 3 miles a day. We are fortunate that we have a Nature Reserve locally so at the moment I am taking most of my walks round there. Stay safe and well everyone.

Hi Angi
I like walking and often miss out because of everyday activities. Parks near me in central London are St James and Hyde Park.
Keep in touch and stay well

Love walking Coastal Paths, usually travel down to Cornwall, demanding walking but the scenery is stunning. Just wish the lungs and the legs were as good as twenty years ago.

Good to see walking as a topic. With whats going on this year i have not trsvelled to do my walking, just my local routes in Kent. Normally i travel to Wales, the Lakes, Devon, cornwall and sometimes Norfolk. Had planned the Isle of Whight and Dartmoor this year, but that all went pear shaped

Walk 5-6 days week. I have several routes through the area - each just over 4 miles. It’s 8 AM here and I’m
heading-out now. Going to be a hot day in Southern California.
