Good late afternoon to you all,

This is my very 1st post on here, saw this about the Winter fuel payment, and thought I would just say that ours came through yesterday 20th December, it will be taken off our next bill which is not far off.

We are with e-on and live in Buckinghamshire, hope this helps although know it is a little late.

Whilst many people I know have already got their Winter Fuel Payments, as yet I have not got mine. Does anyone know when we will get them?

Yes , we received ours this week. I was quite surprised as we no longer live in the UK although all our pensions are there. Nice surprise though.

Hi, I've had a letter but not the payment so I was wondering the same as you. This probably means there are a lot more of us getting worried. It's good because it's not just one that's been left out. So, don't worry.

I know that the payment of the Winter Fuel payment was discussed three years ago but just wondered if anyone has not received their letter yet this year. I know that my neighbours received theirs last week but I’m still waiting for mine!

A item worth thiking about,
Should the winter fuel payment be paid in January/February when nthe bills start coming in ,
And should it paid to your nominated energy supplier as a credit off the bill at that time?

My £140 from E.ON for my electricity / Gas bills for winter 2017 to 2018 has been approved just waiting for payment under the Warm Home Discount Scheme,it is also available with other registered companies.

Eligibility

You qualify for the discount if on 9 July 2017 all of the following applied:

your electricity supplier was part of the scheme
your name (or your partner’s) was on the bill
you were getting the Guarantee Credit element of Pension Credit (even if you get Savings Credit as well)

I am in exactly the same position. Always received the payment in the third week in November. Phoned the Winter Fuel Payment helpline. The woman confirmed that my payment was in the system but blamed the DWP for the delay. I gathered they had had quite a few calls about this.

Thanks Rosemary. Your comments have reassured me to quite a degree. perhaps they were waiting to see if the chancellor was going to cut it; or even finish it. Thanks again.

I reckon it's a money-spinning thing. If they hold on to everybody's payment for at least an extra week, they will have a lot of extra interest on the money.

Yup. That too Rosemary. Let me know if yours comes through. Best of luck. I'll let you know if mine arrives also.

Hallelujah! Got my letter today. Should have payment within three weeks. Thanks for your support Rosemary.

Had a letter to say it's coming surprised that the benefit as some people call it has not had the chop .The NHS cash problem is the baby boomers fault Benifit?i think we paid for it.

You are so right redskins. thanks for replying. Yes we paid for it, and I feel aggrieved that we are always left in the state of never being sure when it's due to arrive.

Let me know if yours comes through ok Redskins, and I will return the favor. Don't think they realize that, for some, it's the difference between a mediocre Christmas and an appalling one. Cheers.

Terriffic! Got my letter today. Apparently I should receive my payment within three weeks. Thanks for your support.
