I think I might be in the wrong place as I have nothing to be grumpy about.
I have reached 78 with no major health worries,Have two wonderful sons from a 34 year long marriage and two gorgeous grandchildren, received 25 cards on my recent birthday proving I have lots of caring friends, live in a nice house with good neighbours so instead of grumbling I count my blessings.

No need to apologise Beany, we can be grumpy about you entering your message in the wrong category so, all is not lost!

You see, there is always something we can be "grumpy" about. I am only joking with you
dear Beany. I love to chat, laugh and hopefully spread joy sometimes.

Happy weekend Beany

What possessed Cameron and now Theresa May to agree to a Nuclear Plant in Britain. We already have a submarine which just needed an overhaul . In a recent discussion it appears that EDF will be charging double what we are paying now for Electricity, we will be indebted to China for years to come for borrowing Billions yet the reporting on the Water solution has been completely discarded without even a thought that Britain is surrounded by water.

Rant over.....I feel very strongly about this and no wonder Cameron has resigned from Politics, he was the one who agreed to borrow billions from China.
Response from Clarite made on 20th Sep 2016 08:24:32
We can as individual make a choice of where we purchase our energy, ethical companies are rising and are very competitive price-wise with the big 6.
It only takes about 10 mins to find an ethical alternative not only to energy but anything else that we purchase.
The internet and its search engines have given us the power to change things, one person at a time and in a small way to contribute to a better future for all.
Response from Capricorn made on 20th Sep 2016 14:30:14
Actually Clarite , it will be EDF which will declare the price and the other energy providers which try to get cheaper prices , So we really don't have a say in pricing. This info was discussed on T.V. by a Group of Businessmen and Cameron was crazy to go along with such a debt ...no wonder he resigned as PM , he won't have to face the music when the time comes. Cameron and Osborne agreed to lend the Eu 1 million Euros, supposedly ringfenced.......why don't I believe that?
Response from Capricorn made on 20th Sep 2016 14:53:43
I meant to add that Cameron also gave away E1 billion towards the 6 billion paid to Turkey to take in more immigrants from Greece.

I am convinced the EU will break up Merkel and Juncker have proved unfit for purpose and it will be interesting to see how purposeful she is when it comes to drawing up the exit agreement .

I can't get used to voting ABOVE my name and posted under "you are commenting ", lost in the ether now.

I said it was EDF who will determine the price of Oil not individuals. The discussion was very informative and the concensus was that the Oil price would double ....at a time when Britain is not exactly rich with all the money the NHS is costing and more immigrants are coming here, plus the cost of the debt to China . I still think they could have waited until the water project was complete,, it was considered very promising.. I wonder if Cameron and Osborne will get the £1 million they lent the EU Bank, apparently ring fenced according to Osbrne.

Correct me if i'm wrong but it's September yes? Walking round the shops today there are mince pies to be eaten before the end of November, Christmas cards and the ubiquitous tins of sweets on sale everywhere.

It's another 3 months til Christmas and already we're being bombarded with all the usual 'must buys'.
Grrr, and of course before then we'll have Halloween and Bonfire night with all their associated commercial necessities. I'm sick of it all before it starts!

There, got that off my chest and feel better now 🙂

Politicians who just waffle on and on and on and don't get on with the job. Plus they are a load of hypocrites. Just look at Keith Vaz the bloke is as condescending as anything all these years and then we find out what he is really like! Outrageous!
Response from MorrisandDoris made on 16th Sep 2016 18:31:30
Politicians are sell serving Liars and only serve themselves not the voters !
Response from Capricorn made on 18th Sep 2016 15:30:48
I agree JohnHerb......how come Britain hasn't had a caring PM since Winston Churchill, his evening broadcast to the Nation every night was legendary ..."we shall fight them on the beaches " was stirring stuff. I never understood whey he lost his job as PM at the next election.

I know it's early days , but Theresa May did not make a good job at the Home Office and her
acceptance of a massive loan from China was obviously not thought through , the taxpayer will be paying the cost forever, while the Trident underground only needed a service according to the experts.

Why have we still got all these winging EU retaimers and Scots
The remainders keep banging on about the result get over it and lets get on with it what will be will be .
The Scots still trying to leave one club the Uk for another the federal states of Europe? Not happy with £1200 handout per person from the rest of the U.K. Tax payers .its time we all count our blessing of being a Great Britain a melting pot of 4 great nations and the commonwealth to maintain our individual identities.
My family is made up of Scots, Irish Welsh and English, like other UK families .
If you ask me were I'm from I'm a Proud Lancastrian, proud to English but most importantly I'm British a product of our melting pot of great nations.

Like you I am sick of hearing about the EU referendum Joseph, and in fact I have seen some VERY insulting remarks made by the people who voted to stay in such as "People who are not very well educated voted to come out of the EU" I won't say what I myself voted but I have good friends and family who voted to come out of the EU.
Like you I also have Scottish & Irish family (my mum was from Dumfries), but I am a down to earth Yorkshire lass who makes the best of things. We all had our vote, so don't be bad losers !
Response from celtwitch Original Poster made on 16th Sep 2016 15:04:20
So, you are willing to publicly rant about the EU referendum, but not willing to admit how you voted! I suspect you are a 'remainer.'
Response from jeanymay made on 16th Sep 2016 15:51:39
Celtwitch you seem to make a lot of inappropriate remarks which are edited and not even allowed on this site, which included one reply to myself which was disallowed. Sometimes least said soonest mended...as in this case because I myself am a lady !! I suggest you find youself some other form of amusement other than trying to pick online fights with strangers

I'll put a mild one in here to start off, people who park in a mother and child spot in the supermarket car park and a 13 year old jumps out of the car, no thought for anyone else.
Response from celtwitch Original Poster made on 16th Sep 2016 11:03:37
You've got me going now Archie; I wonder why young, fit, mums and dads get to park almost at the door to the store, while able bodied but elderly shoppers have to trudge from the furthest flung corners of the car park to do their shopping. I wonder who thought that would be a way to attract younger shoppers? Surely, 'OAP ONLY' parking bays would have been a smarter move, after all there are more of US than THEM!
And why do apparently sprightly 'disabled' people, who hop out of their 4x4's with caravan tow bars, and dash into the store get the parking spots right at the door, when clearly they ain't that 'disabled?'
Take the blue badges away I say, let them pay for parking like the rest of us.
Response from Collie made on 16th Sep 2016 13:05:46
and the thirteen year old was probably the driver!!! I know what you mean Archie.
