Should Trump quit now?

A video of Trump in 2005 has just been released where he is being rude and offensive about women. If it was the UK he would have gone by now. Should he quit or should the Republican party fire him I womder? What do all the Silversurfers say?

What I cannot understand is why only these two people are running for the most powerful job in the world. Most Americans don't seem to want to vote for either so why oh why hasn't someone else tried for the job? Is America so tightly run by politics that only those voted in by either the Republicans or Democrats can run? Is there anyone knowledgeable with the US political system that can enlighten me?
Response from beneDictus made on 25th Nov 2016 10:58:59
Oh...THAT question should be quite easy to answer. They were the only two with the necessary powerful connections, AND the vast financial resources to compete for the top job. In the end, of course, it came down to the one who could demonstrate the LESSER corrupt track record...

Trump no matter what his said done or hasn't said done, he hasn't the political experience to run America.
Response from beneDictus made on 5th Dec 2016 10:54:26

...And, THAT was even before they resorted to physical blows....!! TRUMP-ahoy....!!
Response from beneDictus made on 13th Nov 2016 10:58:24
.....Under the circumstances, i suppose, there didn`t appear to be much of a choice. One...with a less than honourable past. And, the other....a family man...who may, or may not, possess just the right degree of humanitarian ideals. Or, does a job such as being the president of a country like the United States require qualities of utter ruthlessness, especially in these uncertain times....otherwise, he would just be seen as being weak and ineffectual.
But, if i was your typical red necked patriotic American, how could i possibly be sure that he hasn`t exploited her for her vast experience in guile and cunning, and...as discreetly as possible, made her one of his numerous advisers...? After all, Mr. Trump doesn`t seem to be the kind of person who would allow talent of any kind to be squandered...regardless of whether the source was virtuous, or not...

He OWNS the Republican party....!! And...as for quitting....might as well tell your dog to quit barking....The devil rewards his own...and makes life for everyone else hell on earth. The only time Mr. Trump will pass into history is when he succumbs to natural causes...which, of course, and as everybody knows...won`t be anytime soon.

American House of Representatives - Republican - Winner

Ronald Regan - We were told back then that he was just a cowboy.

Well all the best Donald Trump

I daren't put what I really think on here, and I don't want to get into a political debate. What I will say however is that the man makes my flesh crawl to the extent it puts me off watching the news !
Response from Jenninora made on 9th Nov 2016 09:17:15
Well Jeanymay. Your right but when two very mediocre to poor nominees are selected to run for President there was not much hope for a decent outcome. I don't go into politics either. Let American people deal with this.
Response from jeanymay made on 9th Nov 2016 09:24:36
At risk of a rush of replies (please no abuse) I just want to add a remark.

I find when I watch the news and see politicians both here and in America carrying on, insulting each other and using any tactic to get their own way...like spoilt children it reminds me of that old TV show Spitting Images. The displays of childishness of these people who are responsible for running countries never ceases to amaze me, and I wonder what my parents would think of their antics.

What a farce ,American's must worry for the future of their country and of course American politicians and the decisions they make can effect the U.K. too.
Response from jeanmark made on 18th Oct 2016 11:49:02
But Americans who support Trump obviously believe he is their saviour and that in itself is a concern.
Response from ecarg made on 18th Oct 2016 14:57:02
Yes I agree, and whatever our opinions unfortunately the outcome will be of concern to some just as any other election and really it's a waste of time voicing an opinion, we can only live with the result just as we are now living with the unknown outcomes of Brexit, which is of greater concern, as it seems to me no one really knows how it is going to effect the public . As an English woman living in Scotland I understand why the S.N.P. would want another referendum but the decision has been made and it should be upheld.

2005....? He obviously hasn`t changed very much, then...! Just leave him to self disintegrate. That particular process should be in its final stages come the day following their election day over there...

I completely agree LittleMinx, but, as always, money buys power and as long as that happens the genuine people of integrity but little money will remain invisible.
God help us all if Trump gets in.

I have watched this video of Trump and frankly I fail to see what the fuss is all about. Trump has said nothing more than any other man or "woman" when in a group of their own gender. What he said " he was attracted to beautiful women, he wanted to kiss them and if they allowed that, it was basically an open book" so to speak, that is nothing more than has been said by men all over the world in a locker room, at a bar, or when out with male friends. I have heard worse from women, yes, my own sex. What man does not want or feel sexually attracted to a beautiful woman but unfortunately for Trump he was recorded saying these things. It seems to me one rule for men, one for women - If women were to say such things about men, and they do, it's ok, no one says anything, but men do it, and their crucified! Women can ogle and express all kinds of things about men physically, and it's seen as fun - but men, they all of a sudden become monsters and misogynists. So much for equality!

Because you invited it Dollie!
Response from jeanmark made on 13th Oct 2016 14:20:13
I'm afraid Suzanne511 when put against other comments he has made his fitness to run a country is called into question. I don't disagree with your comments on 'locker-room' banter, from either gender, but does that make it right? He is running for the Presidency and thus has to be seen to be above such behaviour as he will be seen as a role model for younger people. Do you believe it is OK for younger men to think they can say and do what they want with women?

Trumps a nut job
But a powerful nut job
I agree with what Suzanne said
About trump
Bill Clinton wasn't squeaky clean
He had quite a few law suits for
Touching women his old woman
Was gonna divorce him o yeah
Forgot Monica LEWINSKI lol
Nuff said there
Response from happystar made on 11th Oct 2016 10:24:47
It's unlikely that a 'nut job' would get to be a $ billionaire, isn't it?
Response from jeanmark made on 13th Oct 2016 14:12:02
It's being a 'nut-job' that helped make his billions. He's selfish, egotistical, and arrogant all the qualities that help you succeed in his business. No, I'm not a fan and hate to think young people may use him as a role model.

Response from happystar made on 10th Oct 2016 10:02:13
Perhaps you should take a more critical and objective look at what Trump is trying to do for his country.
Response from happystar made on 12th Oct 2016 11:47:03
If, as you claim, you are 'more interested in whats going on in my own country' why then are you so demonstrating such a visceral hatred for donald trump?

The fact that you have asked the question tells us that YOU believe that the man has committed a cardinal sin, when all he is 'guilty' of is engaging in a little typical male banter. Don't tell me you never did it in your younger days?
He is a patriot, and the clue is in his statement, 'let's make America great again.'

I don't think he's any worse than most blokey men in the pub, or after a game of footie in the showers. I suppose it's how men try to impress their peers with their tales of conquest.
They talk a lot more sex than they perform.
